Biographical Dictionary of Iberian Railways
The Biographical Dictionary of Iberian Railways (DiBifi) is an initiative of the Iberian Association of Railway History, whose purpose is to provide its members—as well as specialists and the general public—with a new historiographical resource. The DiBifi will include biographies of the individuals who, over the past 175 years, have contributed to the birth, development, and management of the railways in Spain and Portugal.

The business leaders, politicians, scientists, engineers, and managers who have distinguished themselves in some capacity will be the main focus. However, it will also devote similar attention to the workers and women who, despite having been silenced, have played a role just as significant as that of the former.
The dictionary will be overseen by a board of directors and an editorial board, which will be responsible for its management, selecting its entries, and ensuring that they maintain scientific rigor and editorial consistency.
Anyone wishing to submit a proposal should send it to dibifi@asihf.org. Once it has passed an anonymous review, it will be published. It should be approximately 600 words long and may include notes; it must also be accompanied by a photograph or drawing of the character in question.
Railways in Spain and Portugal. The business leaders, politicians, scientists, engineers, and managers who distinguished themselves in some way will be the main focus of this book.
